We need your help! Do you, or someone you know, have a direct association with the air raid shelters located beneath the playground of the Clifford Road School in Ipswich, Suffolk.

We are currently producing a documentary about the remarkable air raid tunnels located beneath the playground of the Clifford Road School in Ipswich, Suffolk, and would love to hear from anyone that has a direct connection to the tunnels.

Jack Earwaker (now 95 years of age), was a pupil at the school and has vivid memories of what being in the tunnels was like during the many air raids Ipswich suffered during WW2. Perhaps you are like Jack and have memories of being stuck beneath the school taking lessons whilst the bombers passed overhead. Maybe you are the descendent of someone involved in their design and construction, or whose family members used the tunnels at night to keep safe, or were perhaps related to an Air Raid Warden, Policemen or Firefighter who put themselves in the front line to protect the towns civilians.

If you have memories to share, we would love to hear from you, we are also keen to hear from anyone that has an association with any of the other air raid shelters located beneath schools in Ipswich, such as St John's School.
